Am-Fab Corporate History |
| American Fabricating, Inc.,
was founded in Memphis, Tennessee, by Hugh C. Lynch in
1962. From the humble beginnings of an old, two-bay gas
station and a single employee, Am-Fab (as it is now
known) has grown into the vision of its founder. This
vision of quality fabricated products, conscientious
craftsmanship and dedicated customer services has become
a rapid success.
Between 1963 and 1970, Am-Fab grew into a well-respected company and expanded its facilities to 3970 Runway Road. In 1975, Am-Fab acquired Permco Corporation. This acquisition proved to be the catalyst which positioned Am-Fab as the choice for major oil company specifiers. Hugh Lynch's vision was becoming a reality. The Am-Fab manufacturing facility grew to 28,000 square feet and employed over 50 people. Hugh Lynch had a natural ability to plan for every business change. His creation of a successful business included his commitment to keep his customers supplied with products, no matter what type of circumstances developed. 1986 put this philosophy to its test. Mr. Lynch died in that year. In doing so, his legacy continued through his ingenious business structure and Am-Fab continued to operate without any interruptions. Upon the death of Hugh C. Lynch, the Board of Directors of Am-Fab unanimously agreed to elect Larry C. Lynch as president. Larry, Hugh's eldest son, has since led Am-Fab with the same pride and legacy of his father. With his own style and technical expertise, Larry Lynch has poised Am-Fab as the corporation for the next century.
Continued growth has positioned Am-Fab for continuing expansion. In 1995, Am-Fab moved into a new, state-of-the-art 65,000-square foot manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, Mississippi. With more automated manufacturing processes and an attitude of putting the customers' needs above all else, Am-Fab is truly positioned on the leading edge of the 21st Century!
